DDbait, which is now part of Prologic’s impressive product range, is a chapter you must read.
Bait differs considerably - as does the catch rate. Boilies with a high level of natural attractants will at all times, catch better than a traditional rock hard continental “semolina boilie”.
The most effective boilie will normally be rapidly leaking, creating a fast, effective and enticing scent-trace. The rate of leakage can be optimized by making up the ingredients, so that the internal structure and the surface of the boilie become porous and water soluble, to the extent that scent is spread effectively into the water. One thing is the immediate attraction – the value of the bait in connection with extended pre-baiting is another matter. In the event, that the boilie does not taste quite as good as it smells or looks, there remains a considerable likelihood, that the fish do not feel tempted to return to the baited area. DDbait differs markedly from the traditional boilie concept by producing water-soluble mixes and boilies, which through an uncompromising choice of ingredients, optimizes the spread of scent and taste - and thereby it´s catch rate. Where the greater part of the ability to attract, in average boilies, normally is based on synthetic flavours, DD aim at the very opposite.
