Gel Baits, which is now a patented product, is designed predominantly as a fish attractor, they are created to sit along side whatever food bait you are using and fire out a specific flavoring. Gel baits absorb what ever fluid it is placed into and then when exposed to either air or water, leach out the contents slowly, in fact in a lake it will take 12 hours and in a river 6.
This is a video filmed in Holland. For three days the boilies placed in the swim weren't attracting any fish. A few hours after introducing Gel Baits into the swim the fish arrived.
Gel baits come in 2 sizes and it has been discovered that the smaller ones can be hooked either directly or on a hair rig and is strong enough to handle the rigors of casting out.
